The institution focuses on concrete, minimal, conceptual and media art, by supporting its intellectually and technically innovative tendencies and presenting them in a broader artistic context and grid of interpretation The institution aims to play the experimental role of initiator and generator, taking into account the institutional framework, but opening up to a wider and more tolerant concept of art through informative, discursive museum educational programs which are given a questioning, argumentative form. Tracing and collecting the progressive tendencies in the art of the 60s and 70s is the key mission of the institution. Its collection counts more than 1 250 artworks.
