Mironova Gallery was founded in 2003. The gallery has since that time worked continuously with artists from the first generation after the break up of the USSR. With the vote for independence at the referendum in December 1991 the Ukrainian art scene embarked on the development of post-soviet aesthetics and overcoming of social realism. The gallery contributed with its long and continuous exhibition program significantly to such important changes and gave voice to influential artists as Arsen Savadov, Anatoly Kryvolap, Oksana Mas, Oleg Kulik and the Recycle Group, among many others. The gallery became an influential place of discussion and civil awareness for the importance of a lively and controversial artistic debate.
