The gallery was opened in 2005 by Katherine Kastner from the USA and Camille Hunt from Canada with the aim to present contemporary Czech artists; support both young artists as well as those from the middle generation; and help to develop their relationships with the artistic world abroad. The programme is focused on exhibiting the works of individual artists using various media – painting, photography, video, and installations.
