COMMA gallery is founded and run by gallerist and art theoretician, Zuzana Danková who simultaneously runs DOT. Contemporary art gallery since 2015.
The gallery is situated at the Main Square in the center of Bratislava in a generous space of a historical building. The gallery’s location creates a dialogue between art and the historical city center.
Comma gallery simultaneously follows several artistic tendencies, which form a progressive whole of the Slovak art scene. It’s focused on bringing together the local, represented artists of the established young and middle generation and the irreplaceable and most relevant names of contemporary Slovak art. Alongside selected international artists, Comma aims to present an engaging exhibition program at the gallery itself and at international art fairs.
Another aspiration is the cultivation of collecting activity and passion, where the gallery’s goal is to offer collectors the best of the local all well as the global art market.
The relationship with its collectors is the gallery’s priority. The key is open communication, which enables them to observe the symbolic capital turn into an investment. It allows them to become the co-creators of the art community and the value they have invested in.
