Tatiana Fiodorova is a photographer, multi-media and performance artist based in Chisinau, Moldova. Her activity addresses the question of the contemporary Moldavian identity in the new social, political, economic realities and standards of the country after the dissolution Soviet Union, as well as in relation to Europe and the European Union. In recent years, she has also been examining the legacy of the Soviet past and the lost soviet identity, especially through the work of her father, a photographer, painter and designer struggling in the late Soviet period. In this sense, her projects also examine the transformation of the Soviet body into a European body, and the challenges of being an artist before and now, in the past Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic and the nowadays Republic of Moldova.
