Mónika Üveges was born in 1992. The art of Mónika Üveges can be summarized as a cross between a scientific experiment and a child’s play, which in the climate of philosophy dominated by the postanthropocene simultaneously call into question the boundaries of the panel image and the natural-artificial. The various mediums allows her to reflect the permanent visual deception by reversing human and non-human views, which stems in the same way from technological development as from the difficult-to-observe appearances of our environment. She uses her various series with a feminine-toned melancholy (which rooted in a sense of imminent or perhaps already occurring catastrophe) cyclically releasing it in the form of rebirth following destruction.
