Mario Matoković was born in 1985 in Osijek, Croatia. He graduated from the Academy of Arts in Osijek, Department of Fine Arts in 2010. He has taken part in many fine arts workshops, and has exhibited in numerous Croatian and in few international exhibitions. From 2010 untill 2017 he was a member of the Croatian Association of Visual Art (HDLU) in Osijek and from 2013 till 2016 he has been appointed president of the HDLU Osijek. He is a holder of the Rector’s Award of the J.J. Strossmayer University in Osijek. In 2016 Mario was one of the finalists of Radoslav Putar Award, award for young visual artists in Croatia up to 35 years of age and in 2017 received 3rd award 5th International Biennale of Contemporary Fine Arts in Novorossyisk, Russia . Lives and works in Osijek, Croatia.
