Lana Stojićević

Lana Stojićević (1989) is a young artist based in Split, whose socially and critically engaged artistic pratice often deals with misplaced priorities in her immediate environment. She graduated in painting from the Arts Academy of Split in 2012 and uses a variety of media including photography, painting, sound, sculpture textile and embroidery for projects that tackle environmental topics (Black Hill/Crno Brdo, 2015), urban development and consumerism (Villa Roza Project and Parcel, 2016) and gender-related issues. Her practice embraces critical approach, narrative content, metaphorical thinking and humour. She received the Erste Grand Prix in 2015, was finalist of the New East Photo Prize and was awarded the Metro Imaging Mentorship by Calvert 22 Foundation in 2016.
