Krystian Truth Czaplicki was born in 1984 in Wroclaw, Poland. Lives in Wroclaw. Author of objects and site-specific interventions. Art objects created by Krystian Truth Czaplicki blur the limit between reality and abstraction, autonomous form of site specific installation, object trouve and a very intimate work. Truth is more interested in the process of constant change rather then stability and permanence. The artist investigates relationships between a piece of art, the site and the spectator. These are, simultanesly, very minute cadres, precisely selected spots there his interventions evoques phisical and visual provocations. He has participated in numerous projects in Poland and abroad: Zachęta – National Gallery of Art in Warsaw, Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź, Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, The Xawery Dunikowski Museum of Sculpture / National Museum in Warsaw, Bergen Kunsthall in Norway, Vasarely Múzeum in Budapest and Dum Umeni Mesta Brna in Czech Republic. His work has appeared, among others, on the streets of Warsaw, London, Manchester, Bordeaux, Rome and Moscow. Since October 2014 he is involved in the residency at La Malterie in Lille.
