Ines Matijević Cakić is an artist whose work explores identity, subjectivity, and cultural heritage. Her recent works focus on the experience of time, motherhood, and private space, often drawing on personal experience through psychoanalytic and feminist perspectives.
Born in 1982, she studied and earned her degrees in Zagreb, including a PhD in painting. She has taught at institutions in Osijek and is currently an associate professor at the Academy of Arts and Culture. Her work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Croatia and internationally, and is held in several major collections.
