Gery Georgieva was born in 1986 Varna, Bulgaria. She lives and works in London. Her work encompasses video, performance, multimedia installations and musical collaborations and she is a recent graduate from the Royal Academy Schools, London.The Bulgarian artist often mixes pop cultural iconography with folk myths and artefacts. The juxtaposition allows her to reach a great deal of people while studying cultural appropriation and mimicry, and tap into powerful feminine archetypes.
