The oeuvre of Alicja Bielawska includes sculptures, installations, drawings and poetry. Although the objects she makes, usually from fabric, metal frames, wood or modeling clay, do resemble things from everyday life, Bielawska often interferes with their proportions and scale. She is interested in what happens to our memory after we are exposed to her work. Her works can be found in the collection of the Podlasie Zachęta Society of Fine Arts, the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and the collection of ING Polish Art Foundation, as well as in private collections in Poland and the Netherlands.
