Zane Onckule

Zane Onckule (b. Latvia, 1982) is a curator. She is interested in the notions of language, writing, production and retreat, all through questioning the terms of visual art practices. Between 2010-2017 she was the Curator and Programme Director at Kim? where she collaborated with a wide range of artists, curators and theorists to organise exhibitions and public programmes, curate and co-curate exhibitions, and edit publications and other related materials. Onckule was a co-commissioner of the Latvian Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013 as well as the co-commissioner of the 13th Baltic Triennial in 2018. One of her most recent curatorial work was the solo exhibiton of the Latvian artists Indriķis Ģelzis show called Watery Day's Eye in 2023 held at Kim?.
