Tamás Don (b. 1991) is a curator. He currently works at MODEM Debrecen as a curator and he also works on many independent projects such as Bánkitó Festival’s Fine Art Fest organiser. His research interest include the possibilities of integration of young emerging artists in the Hungarian contemporary art institutional system, and he is also intrested in such projects that reflect on social and political issues and the state of painting. He was a board member of the FKSE for two years until December 2017, and a member of the Labor Gallery Committee between 2016-2018. In 2019, he was admitted to the Hungarian Section of the International Association of Art Critics, and in 2020 he won the ARTtransfer Award of the Ludwig Museum. His recent curatorial project was a group exhibition called Határeset / Borderline Case in 2022 which was held in MODEM. He is the founder of Küszöb Festival, which is a collaboration between eleven contemporary art institutions, focusing on opportunities for emerging artists. The festival aims to showcase young artists and their work to a wider audience.
