Mirela Baciak (b. 1987, Warsaw) is a curator in the field of visual arts. Since July 2023 she is serving as the director of Salzburger Kunstverein. Her past roles include curating at steirischer herbst festival in Graz from 2019 to 2023, and at Public Art Munich 2018, where she explored art's public role through the genre of performance. Baciak has held various fellowships and residencies globally, and has curated exhibitions on a freelance basis in Vienna, Shanghai, Bucharest, Sopot. She holds an MA in Critical Studies from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and initiated the Austrian Association of Curators in 2023, where she serves as a board member.
