Flóra Gadó (b. 1989) is a curator, researcher and art critic based in Budapest. Since 2018 she works as a curator in Budapest Gallery and she is a lecturer at Budapest Metropolitan University. She has recently obtained her doctoral degree in Film, Media and Cultural Studies at Eötvös Loránd University. In 2014 and 2015 she was part of the organizing team of OFF-Biennále Budapest and since 2016 she is the member of the research group Open Museum. Between 2016 and 2019 she was the Vice President of the Studio of Young Artists’ Association Budapest. She contributes critiques and reviews to several online and offline magazines, like Artportal.hu and Balkon and she is the co-editor of the essay journal Café Babel. In recent years Gadó took part in many curatorial residency programs, including MeetFactory in Prague, Brno House of Arts and the East Art Mags program for art critics in Romania and Poland. Her main research interests is centered around memory politics, artistic strategies to deal with the past as well as examining issues related to mental health, healing and radical care.
