Anna Ptak was born in 1979. She is an art curator, editor, and researcher with a background in cultural anthropology. She works with artists and other practitioners to explore the cognitive and socio-political aspects of artistic practice, its fictions, and the documents it creates. In her curatorial research projects include kurz/dust/ghobar (2015), an exhibition on the politics of materiality at the CCA Ujazdowski Castle (in cooperation with Amanda Abi Khalil, as well as artists and theoreticians from Europe, Middle East, and Central Asia); and The Make Yourself at Home Guide to Warsaw (edited with Rani Al Rajji and Monnik collective, 2015), a vernacular urbanism textbook preceded by a collective knowledge assembling work.
