Bety Krňanská (1992) is a Czech artist based in Athens, Greece. She works at the intersection of painting, textile craft, and technology, exploring female representation, bodily autonomy, and the evolving relationship between desire and digital culture. Through a combination of traditional techniques—such as patchwork, crochet, batik, and painting—with AI-generated imagery, she examines the tension between seduction and automation, the handmade and the synthetic.
Krňanská holds an MFA in Painting from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, Czech Republic. She was a finalist for the 2019 Czech Art Critique Prize for Young Painters and has exhibited internationally, including A Scattering of Salts (2023, American Institute of Greece) curated by Panos Giannikopoulos (curator of the Greek Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2024), EFFIMISMS (2023, MISC Gallery, Athens), and The WORLDS (2022, Drawing Triennale, Wroclaw). Her most recent solo exhibition, CRUSH at George Benias Gallery, Athens was critically acclaimed by Art Historian and Art Critic Konstantinos Spyropoulos.
